you know i learnt recently that it doesnt pay to be nice...especially at work! That moment of 'niceness' may just cause your boss to think otherwise of you.
Having said that, it does pay to be helpful and forgiving...just don't make other's mistake your own.
Hope you're less pissed off by now.
